Clinton B. Townsend

Clinton B. Townsend practiced law in Skowhegan, Maine, for more than fifty years. He was a former United States Commissioner to the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization and past president of Maine Rivers. He took part in the Edwards Dam removal, the Fort Halifax Dam removal, opposition to the Basin Mills project, the Penobscot River restoration project, and other efforts to prevent new dam construction or to remove existing dams. www.mainerivers.org
